The best days of our lives.
Tiana and Caleb are the sweetest, most awesome two people you will ever get to know. We first met when taking their engagement photos at Sunset Cliffs. They had an adventurous spirit and were down to rock hop for beach access, climb the Ladera St. Staircase multiple times for the best angles, and walk over a mile for unique photo spots. All in the same session! I knew then that their wedding would be a blast.
We started the wedding day with Bride getting ready photos at Hilton San Diego Harbor Island. I love taking photos of mama placing the veil while sisters adorn the Bride with jewelry. Helping the Bride get dressed is a beautiful tradition. These moments with Tiana's family and friends were very special. They were sooooo excited!
I next headed over to Tom Ham's ceremony site and California Room for decoration photos and candids. Caleb was eagerly greeting his family and friends. The sun was just starting to set, the lighting was gorgeous, and everyone was loving the venue. Tom Ham's Lighthouse has one of the best views of Downtown San Diego framed under a gorgeous arch. When the lighting is perfect, the view makes for some of the most beautiful couple's photos you could ever ask for. Tom Ham’s is one of my favorite venues (and their food is fantastic).
The ceremony and reception were amazing! My favorite moments were the formal dances and speeches. The formal dances always make me cry. I can’t help it, the moment is too precious! Their mamas and papas were beaming with pride the entire wedding. Many wonderful toasts were made to the happy couple.
Tiana and Caleb specifically requested my signature photo under the spiral staircase. I take this photo at almost every wedding at Tom Ham's. It's quick, easy to do, and makes for a wonderful transition from the ceremony to reception, or a romantic end-of-the-evening photo.
We originally connected via The Knot. They were looking more for a traditional wedding style with some scenic shots. I really liked their vision and am honored to have been part of their day. It was so much fun! Congratulations, you two :)
