Why I Chose Weddings
"Why weddings?" is a question I get asked often. "It's stressful, and you only get one shot to capture the moment!" This is sometimes true. "I could never be responsible for something so important." This, however, is not true. It is an honor to be a wedding photographer!
When two people fall in love and want to spend the rest of their lives together, it inspires me. I want to help alleviate some of the upcoming wedding stress. Then on their wedding day they can enjoy getting dressed (I promise, it's a lot more fun than you might think), saying their vows, and partying with family and friends.
It is true that there's technically only one chance to get many of the big wedding moments right. This is why I prepare and plan ahead! I've been a professional photographer for over 10 years. My assertive Greek personality is not shy about providing direction for the best photos possible. And for the once-in-a-lifetime moments such as the first expressions, big kiss, group photo, formal dances, sparkler exit... basically the whole wedding... there's my experience dictating my every move.
So, why weddings? I often find myself thinking, "Wherever these two wonderful people go, they'll surely make the world a better place." Their love gives me hope for the future and I want them to never, ever forget this moment. That is why I love photographing weddings!
And the food is like, really reallllllly good :D
